Stays

We really like the location, just across the river from Temple Bar, the nightlife center of Dublin. Not that we participate over there, but the hotel bar is recently renovated and modern with high design furniture and decoration, and quite the popular watering hole, new as it is.

Our hotel in Dublin is the Morrison, located on the north side of the Liffey River, about 5 minutes walk west from O’Connell Street. Seems to be a hotel with some history, and was recently renovated and reopened in mid-February as a Hilton Doubletree property. White and curved walls everywhere, modern furniture including chairs in the lobby that look like exercise balls, 40″ flat panel TV’s in the rooms, and quite the elegant and well appointed clientele’s watering hole for a bar and restaurant. Fun staff and the location is great, right across the river from Temple Bar, the bar and night club district. As if we have energy for that!

The bathroom tub is a proper Brit one, meaning both deep and long. We both did a proper soak complete with Radox scented bath salts.
